Tourism Minister Francisco Javier García inaugurated the Sirenis Aquagames water park, an attractive complementary offer which is the largest of its kind in the Caribbean, within a resort located in the complex of the Sirenis Hotels & Resorts chain, in Uvero Alto, Punta Cana, with two all-inclusive beachfront hotels operating a total of 816 rooms.

You pay a flat fee that includes all entertainment, food and beverages, and is open from 9 am to 5 pm. The entertainment offer is differentiated by age, activities that are distributed in specific areas.

Sirenis Aquagames was built at a cost of more than $5.5 million, and operates autonomously within the complex Sirenis Punta Cana Resort Casino & Aquagames, to host tourists staying at other establishments and for the local community. This resort offers a product aimed primarily at families. Rates are different for children and adults, guests of the resort, other tourists and local residents.

It features the Aquaracer, which is a high speed, four lane, 100 meters-long slide; the Stuka reserved for the bravest, because its sensation of free fall will give anyone an adrenaline rush; 2 Aquatubes slides, 2 Tobosplash slides, and the Twister complete the offer of the main tower of activities. It also has pool and a kids club, climbing nets, a rest area, a traditional pool for those who just want to enjoy the water, and other fun entertainment.

“The park inauguration is an enrichment of entertainment offerings for the entire industry in Punta Cana, and a sample of foreign investor interest in this type of business,” said García.

Abel Matutes, Vice President of the Sirenis Hotels & Resorts chain, said the goal is to offer customers an aquatic entertainment. Also present, Ernesto Veloz, president of the Eastern Hotel Association, praised the new park and celebrated its opening to all tourists and local residents.

The entrance fee includes and / or barbecue from 11:00 am to 04:00 pm, drinks (water, soda, juice, coffee, tea and beer). It also includes a nursery with trained personnel to meet and entertain children.

For those younger ones measuring less than 1.10 meters there are lots of adventures. Kids can spend hours playing in the Pirate’s pool of a capacity for 450 children, with mini slides, climbing nets and buckets of water with exciting cascades.

For younger children, from 2 to 4 years old, is the Magic Island, with very little depth and capacity for 25 children, where everyone can have fun in a safe environment with small slides and a palm of rain.
