Club Med in Punta Cana is about to get a whole lot more exciting and interesting on June 2015. Partnering with Cirque de Soleil, Club Med is going to debut a totally new and unique concept in experimental travel with their new Circus themed playground called Creactive. The outlines for the park look incredible, complete with a big-top-style circus tent and colorful play areas. So get ready, Club Med Cirque du Soleil is Coming soon!

Club Med is responsible for pioneering the all-inclusive resort concept over 60 years ago, they also built the first all- inclusive resort in the Dominican Republic in 1981. Club Med is also recognized as a pioneer in developing resorts fit for family vacations. Their 550 room resort in Punta Cana includes many family friendly amenities, including childcare for children beginning at 4 months of age. Families have become fans of their children’s club and the many sports and activities for teens to enjoy.

Club Med has a tradition of offering flying trapeze lessons as a resort activity, but the new partnership will taking entertainment to a whole new level. According to Cirque du Soleil President and CEO, Daniel Lamarre stated:

“This partnership is a natural progression, stemming from the success and uniqueness of Club Med having provided circus instruction for over 25 years, and now with Cirque du Soleil’s 30 years of experience and know-how, this activity will have a new color”

Guest will have the opportunity to learn many of the skills and tricks used in Cirque du Soleil showcases. Among the many activities offered, guest can learn acrobatic bungee, aerial silks, tightrope walking, and double trapeze. There will be activities for younger kids and the not so daring, such as juggling, mask painting, percussion and dance.

As if Club Med Cirque du Soleil circus training on your vacation wasn’t exciting enough, Club Med has new developments coming to their Punta Cana hotel. According to the Dominican newspaper, Diario Libre, the resort chain will invest over $125 million dollars in constructing 70 new villas at their Punta Cana location. Club Med executives, Marilyne Mesiano and Gregory Lanter revealed that there are plans for the construction of a second resort in the Dominican Republic although the location has yet to be announced.
