Sivory is not a name that is synonymous with the all inclusive resorts in Punta Cana. It’s not as well known, and not the typical mega-resort that you’ll find in the more populated hotels in Bavaro. In fact, Sivory is a little off the beaten path, making it harder to find. This, along with the impeccable service, is what makes Sivory a hidden gem in the Dominican Republic, much less Punta Cana.
Sivory is a small boutique style hotel. It’s located about as far away from Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) as you can get. If you are looking for nightlife, parties, swim up bars, and crowded beaches this place isn’t for you. However, if you’re on your honeymoon, getting married, or just a couple that wants to spend an intimate time together, then this is the place you want to be.
Located at the top of Uvero Alto, it will take you an additional hour or more to drive there via taxi or local shuttle from the Punta Cana Airport. But being a small boutique hotel who’s primary goal is service for their customers, you have the option of some VIP treatment. Upon arriving at Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) you can choose to be whisked away in your own private helicopter, viewing the spectacular coastline of Bavaro from the air before landing on the beach in front on your hotel. You’ll be greeted by a concierge, and your luggage, check-in and everything else will be handled for you. All you have to do is relax, and enjoy your stay!
Sivory only has 55 rooms. But dont let the size of this boutique hotel fool you. On average they have 1 1/2 staff members for every guest, insuring that you get the service and attention you deserve. You have your choice of rooms too, Deluxe, Premium and Luxury. The floor plan is basically the same in all three. The different being the location in proximity to the beach. Premium and Luxury rooms are located directly on the beach while the Deluxe rooms are not. All Premium rooms are located on the second floor and have a balcony and beautiful views of the ocean. The Luxury rooms dont have a balcony, instead you have your own private pool right outside your bedroom.
Besides the basic rooms, Sivory also can offer you your choice of a Honeymoon Suite or their Sivory Grand Suite. The Honeymoon Suite, at almost 1000 square feet, includes a Kingsize bed, ocean front view complete with a private Jacuzzi on your balcony. The Sivory Grand Suite is a massive 2250 square feet, 2-storey 2-bedroom villa, with oceanfront views, and your own private Jacuzzi. They really do have something for everyone here.
If the beautiful rooms are not enough for you, you can always pamper yourself and enjoy their on-site Aquarea Spa. Complete with treatment rooms, including a room for couples only. Whether you are looking for aromatherapy, hydrotherapy, a massage, or just to chill out and relax in the hot tub or sauna, there is something here for you.
After all this pampering and relaxation, you’re sure to work up an appetite. If you can pull yourself away from the being pampered in the spa, lounging around by the pool, or just enjoying your room, you’ll be happy to know that you also have your choice of restaurants to choose from.
Laveranda is located on the beach and next to the pool. They serve a variety of Mediterranean foods with Sunday being a little different. On Sunday, local Dominican food is served allowing you to taste and enjoy some local food from the Dominican Republic. You can choose to enjoy your meal indoors or outdoors, while overlooking the pool and ocean.
Tau is a smaller more intimate restaurant specializing in Asian Fusion cuisine. They are only available for dinner and reservations are not necessary.
The crème de la crème of fine dining is the world class Gourmond restaurant. Boosting AAA Four Diamond awards 4 years in a row! This is the only AAA Four Diamond rated restaurant in all of Punta Cana. Specializing in international cuisine, each item on the menu is designed to satisfy even the most discerning palates. To compliment your dining pleasure, Gourmond restaurant offers the second largest wine collection in the entire Caribbean. With well over $250,000 worth of wine and over 5000 bottles, even the most discerning wine connoisseur will find what he is looking for here.
